LAMP WELCOME TO NEW STUDENTS PARTY
On Thursday August 7th, the LAMP (Leadership and Multicultural Program) team held a Welcome party for ESL students new to RMPS this term.
The LAMP program is a leadership group composed of Yr 5 students. They promote multiculturalism and diversity within our school community. The LAMP team prepared, organised and led a welcome ceremony, followed by games and a party for the students in the LOTE room.
The aim of the event was to make our new students feel welcomed and to familiarise them with the layout and organisation of the school. The LAMP leaders were keen to show their empathy and support for the challenges facing newly arrived students at school in Australia for the first time. The event was a great success and the LAMP team is to be congratulated for its efforts.
