Visual Arts
Here are some photos of the creative kids at Roberts McCubbin.
JUNIORS: Pastel pictures
We used oil pastels in a variety of ways (twist, drag, flick, smudge, twirl...) to create a variety of interesting effects.
We hope you enjoy looking at some examples of our work.
Year 3/4: Painting - Primary and Secondary Colours
We mixed the three primary colours (red, blue and yellow) in pairs to create the three secondary colours (orange, green and purple). We used these six colours to create a colourful painting.
Year 5/6: Pinatas
At the end of term two, the year 5/6 students made their own pinatas using balloons and papier mache as the base. They could decorate it using their choice of materials, including paints, feathers, paper, cardboard, streamers, etc. Some chose to fill their pinatas with lollies to smash open and enjoy, while others chose to keep it in once piece to enjoy!
